Doherty became a "Chartered Environmentalist" and is
a member of the "Society of the Environment".
APPOINTMENT
FOR HEALTH & SAFETY TEAM IN BECKENHAM
In June 2006 Jake Denney
joined PRP and was appointed as Senior Planning Supervisor. He
is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health,
Association of Project Safety and and Associate of the Chartered
Institute of Building. He has previously worked with a number
of high profile Clients and contractors including Standard Life,
Lloyds TSB, Bovis, Berkley Homes Group, Sainsbury, Skanska and
ISG Interior/Exterior.
This has enabled him
to gain extensive CDM and Health & Safety knowledge across
the complete spectrum of Health & Safety services, from fulfilling
duties as a Planning Supervisor, writing company Health &
Safety policies, procedures and strategies, preparing and delivering
both internal and external Health & Safety seminars and training,
through to the practical application of Health & Safety with
site inpsections, accident investigations and writing/implementing
method statements and risk assessments.
Jake joins a professional
Health & Safety team with an extensive knowledge base of the
Health & Safety industry, and memberships to the leading industry
bodies, with over 12 employees as Members of the Association of
Project Safety. It is envisaged that his appointment will enable
PRP to meet the increasing demands for Health & Safety services
from their Clients, and help PRP move into the next phase of its
growth and development.
INNOVATIVE
SCHEMES:
LANGHOLM CLOSE - REFURBISHMENT
This is a refurbishment
scheme being undertaken in Partnership with the London Borough
of Lambeth, which involves the formation of new pitched roofs
with a covering of photovoltaic shingle and the use of environmentally
friendly materials from sustainable resources, so that 43 homes
will benefit from warmer more affordable homes.
The photovoltaic cells
will generate 18,000kWh of green electricity and save on the
production of over 7 tonnes of CO2 each year.
The scheme is funded
by the Lambeth Major Repairs Allowance with grant from the Department
of Trade and Industry "Major Photovoltaic Demonstration
Programme" Grant.
